Beyond the tunnel was a mysterious town.
no-face on the train. i know spirited away is the comfort answer but the comfort answer is comfort for a reason. i put it on when the day was too big and by the end i could breathe again. that is the whole review.
the train over the water. i keep coming back to that one shot when i can't sleep. no dialogue, nowhere to be, just moving quietly through the dark. the calmest four minutes ever put to film.
Put it on for movie night not at all sure they would sit still for the whole thing, and they did not blink once the entire time. No real bad guy anywhere in it, just a kid being brave in a very strange place. We were all still talking about it at breakfast the next morning.
